Who We Are

The Cowtown Amateur Radio Club (K5COW) is an ARRL Club located just north of downtown Fort Worth TX.

Purpose

We are a  501c(3) non profit organization with the purpose of supporting and promoting Amateur Radio activities in all ways from training/licensing to public service.

What we do

We utilize the equipment listed below to give new hams experience and challenge 'old' hams.  Throughout the year we have club activities involving various parts of Amateur Radi,o  from 'foxhunts' to Satellite contacts and everything in between.

We participate in 'Field Day' every summer in Fort Worth's Trinity Park.

Our Clubhouse houses multiple HF radios connected to 3 large antennas mounted on our tower.

In addition we have an AREDN Mesh system with 360deg coverage from our tower, a Winlink VHF Groundstation, and an APRS iGate.  We recently completed our AMSAT/ARISS ground station on site at the Clubhouse.

The club operates three repeaters in the Fort Worth Area (147.28,  224.42, 442.20 -  PL110.9)
